Procedures. Also, how to prepare our clients and the data recording methods SUD...VOC. The day involves learning some theory and with live demonstrations. We will not be spending the day talking through a manual nor death by PowerPoint. There will be an element of presentation but most of our day (80%) will be on practical uses of EMDR. We learn quicker and easier by doing. We will practice on a Single trauma or event and then Multiple traumas or events. We will also cover the use of EMDR on cravings for Substance Abuse, Nicotine and Food. This is how I do the training, demonstration then you pair up and do the work. Think about how you learned to drive and I bet nobody spent hours with his or her driving instructor reading the Highway Code. We got into the car and he/she explained the pedals, mirrors etc. and we drove off and learned by doing. You will experience and practise this powerful therapy several times during the event. You will be awarded a Diploma as an EMDR Therapist and receive a comprehensive E.M.D.R. manual and full course note including client-recording samples. This qualifies for 6 hours GHSc accredited CPD. Join me for a great practical day learning how to help clients’ reduce/manage and or deal with pain. The day involves: - Live demonstrations of Pain Management/Control/reduction techniques. The theoretical content will be included on the CD-R you take away. You can all read and write so there is no need for me to talk through material you can read at your leisure.
